SupraFusion governance
The SupraFusion program is based on solid, structured governance, guaranteeing effective coordination between all the players involved.
Pilot plants
The CEA (French Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission) is a major player in European research, particularly in the fields of low-carbon energies (nuclear and renewable), digital technologies, technologies for the medicine of the future, and defense and security. It plays a central role in the development of technologies linked to nuclear fusion and high-temperature superconductors, mobilizing its skills in engineering, plasma physics and advanced materials.
The CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) plays a major role in fundamental research in Europe. CNRS mobilizes all the sciences to tackle the challenges of today's world in all their complexity, in conjunction with organizations in the field. It plays a key role in exploring theoretical and experimental concepts related to nuclear fusion, particularly plasma physics, and superconductors.
Project organization
Theorganization of PEPR Suprafusion is based on several complementary bodies, and aims to define strategic orientations, monitor research projects and provide operational support.
The Steering Committee steers the program and cross-functional actions, under the supervision of the Steering Committee on which the partner institutions are represented and advised by the SAB (Scientific Advisory Board).
The Project Coordination Committee, chaired by the program coordinator, ensures coordination between the scientific projects funded under the program.
The Project Office provides administrative and financial support.
