Technology and infrastructure development
This call for projects is the last action planned in this first axis aimed at developing SHTc technology bricks. This call for projects will focus primarily on the mission of filling France's weaknesses and gaps in key technological infrastructures that the scientific community is encountering today. This open call could, for example, help support laboratories with expertise and equipment in the implementation of: REBCO strip manufacturing lines, conductor manufacturing lines, integration workshops, non-destructive joint qualification methods, conductor or coil characterization facilities at 20 T, etc.

SHTc for large-scale applications
The strategic objective of this call for projects will be to contribute to challenge no. 6 "rethinking applications and needs", given the paradigm shift offered by SHTc technology. The 4 million euros earmarked for this call will fund various types of initiatives, such as :
- Design studies of machines for societal use that incorporate SHTc technology into their concepts and assess its potential benefits and obstacles. Examples of such machines include wind turbines, compact or high-field MRIs, aircraft or ship propulsion systems, power transmission cables, etc.
- R&D, prototyping or infrastructure needed to validate concepts using HTS technology for a specific societal application;
- Socio-economic studies assessing the real viability and profitability of HTS technologies for product commercialization and widespread use in society;
- LCA (life cycle assessment) and environmental impacts.
