Arnaud BADEL has been a CNRS researcher at G2Elab since 2012.<\/p>\n

He obtained his PhD in 2010 at INPG, Grenoble, then worked from 2010 to 2012 at the University of Geneva as a post-doc.<\/p>\n

Since joining CNRS, he has worked on the development of applications using new-generation high-temperature superconductors (FCL, SMES, high-field coils), focusing on the characterization and modeling of these materials to optimize their use.
\nFrom 2018 to 2021, he took a temporary leave of absence from CNRS to become an associate professor at Tohoku University (Japan) in the High Field Laboratory for Superconducting Materials, focusing on the development of fully superconducting 30+ T magnets.<\/p>\n

He is co-author of over 50 articles published in international journals and has co-supervised 7 theses.<\/p>\n

He was general secretary of the local committee for the EUCAS 2015 conference, and was on the program committee for the other two major conferences in the field, Magnet Technology and ASC. He is also a regular technical editor for special editions of the IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity. He is a founding member of the International Modeling School for Applied Superconductivity, whose 3rd edition took place in June 2022. <\/p>\n
